Two drivers seriously injured in multi-car crash on Double Trouble Road in Berkeley, NJ
Two drivers are hospitalized with multiple injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Double Trouble Road in Berkeley Township on Wednesday morning.
Berkeley Police said that the driver of a 2012 Honda Civic was heading southbound on Double Trouble Road and was turning left onto the southbound ramp for the Garden State Parkway when they were hit by a 2009 Ford 250 Van who was heading northbound on the road at the time.
The driver of the Ford 250 Van was ejected from their vehicle as a result of the collision and suffered multiple injuries and was then brought, via medevac, to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune City.
Police said that the driver of the Honda also suffered multiple injuries and was also medevacked to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune City.
Berkeley Police Patrol Officers Shoemaker and Flanegan responded to the scene around 8:59 am to investigate and were assisted at the accident scene by the Ocean County C.S.I. team.
The significantly damaged vehicles were towed from the scene by Priced Rite Towing, police said.
