An Exciting Indoor Sports Dome Is Planned For Cape May, NJ
You know how when you drive down Hooper Avenue in Toms River, you can't help but stare at the massive white bubble behind Toms River Intermediate East?
It's a massive indoor sports complex that for whatever reason, I always end up oggling as I drive by.
Now, it appears as though soon another massive indoor sports complex will be coming to Jersey, and it's going to bring a lot of exciting opportunities to the area.
A Massive Sports Bubble Is Planned For The Cape May Airport.
NJ.com reports that Robert Buglak, a Jersey resident has always dreamed of opening a massive indoor sports dome in South Jersey.
A place that would provide a haven for kids to play sports, and would help contribute to the growth of the community in that area.
Now, that dream may be coming to fruition as there are plans for an 80,000-square-foot sports dome to be constructed at the Cape May Airport.
Last month, the Dome got approval for a 20-year lease and would be joining a lot of cool local businesses like Cape May Brewing and a few Tech Businesses that are attracting a lot of people to the area.
Buglak says the next step for the Dome will be getting approval from Lower Township's Board.
Once that happens it's believed the new indoor sports dome could be up and running within six months.
NJ.com reports that the Dome would have turf fields, soccer fields, lacrosse fields, basketball courts, and a lot more.
For example, the Dome will also be designed to accommodate large music festivals that would make their way through Jersey!
