It seems like just about everything has been cancelled this year. It was way back in March that we started to see Saint Patrick's Day parades being postponed or cancelled. Since then, pretty much every big event for the spring and summer was axed, and we started to see the fall event calendar impacted too. Just recently, the Freehold St. Patrick's Day Parade that was moved to September 13th was cancelled entirely.

It's been crazy and exhausting to constantly post updates about events that we were looking forward to no longer happening. It is awesome to hear that at least one big event is still happening - albeit with the expected pandemic restrictions.

At the moment, the annual Shamrocks By The Sea Irish Festival is still planned for September 26th, from 10am til 6pm at 807 NW Central Avenue in Seaside Park.

This year due to COVID - 19, we will be following all of New Jersey State guidelines for your protection. People will be required to wear face masks and follow social distancing of 6 feet. We will have hand washing stations and hand sanitizing stations. We thank you for your support as we strive to host a safe event for all who attend.

The festival is one of the traditional fundraisers for the annual Ocean County St. Patrick's Day Parade in Seaside Heights. There are still two weeks to go before the Festival, so be sure to check the Facebook Event Page for any potential updates. We just learned that the Ocean County Columbus Day Parade and Festival was forced to cancel due to lack of funds, so hopefully the same fate doesn't await Saint Patrick.
