Shaking and Booms Possible Tonight Through Sunday

Well.....Don't be alarmed if you should feel the ground shake or hear some rumbles over the next few days, because they'll most likely be coming from McGuire Air Force Base, and Fort Dix in Lakehurst tonight (Thursday) through Sunday 2/21.

The base announced that Marines from the 3rd Battalion and 6th Engineer Support Battalion are scheduled to conduct live artillery and controlled demolitions at the base both during daylight and evening hours.

Officials say there will be “considerable noise coming from the ranges,” and ”This noise may be louder and travel farther during overcast weather.”
