More details are available regarding the non-fatal shootings in two Jersey Shore towns Monday night.

The Monmouth County Prosecutors Office and Neptune Township Police continue a joint investigation into a shooting that occurred on Embury Avenue in Neptune Township Monday around 7:16 pm.

A 28-year-old Asbury Park man was shot on the 1100 block of Embury Avenue, according to MCPO Spokesman Chris Swendeman.

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening injury and is being treated at an area hospital and remains in stable condition.

A shooter has not yet been found.

In Barnegat, the car the suspected shooter drove off in was spotted on surveillance camera and later found by the Ocean County Sheriffs Department in Lacey Township on Tuesday.

However, that's as far as the information train goes at this point as police continue looking for the shooter in this incident.

There was only one victim wounded and the 26-year old Ocean Gate resident was hospitalized at Southern Ocean Medical Center with a leg injury that is considered to be non-life threatening.

Police in Barnegat say as of right now, the victim doesn't want to "cooperate with authorities."

Barnegat resident Brandon Calogero who lives a few blocks away from where the shooting occurred told WOBM News that he saw Barnegat and Stafford Township Police heading past his home and onto Schooner Avenue after hearing gunshots which police responded to around 7:32 pm over on Lexington Boulevard.
