4 NJ Boardwalks Made America’s Best List, Including One In Ocean County

It's hard to believe that summer is coming to a close. My band, Right On! just wrapped up our summertime residency at Beachcomber last night, and that's always my first sign that summer is on the way.

However, we're ending the summer on a high note; 4 New Jersey boardwalks just ranked as the best boardwalks in the entire country, and one of them is right here in Ocean County!

4 New Jersey Boardwalks Ranked Among The Best In America

I was a little disappointed that my favorite boardwalk at the shore, the Seaside Heights boardwalk, didn't make the list, but the four that did really represent what the Jersey Shore is all about.

According to USA Today, an expert panel was put together to come up wth this list, although I wasn't asked, and I consider myself a semi-expert on boardwalks, just saying.

From the boardwalk to the iconic aquarium, this is one of the most family-friendly, fun-loving boardwalks at the Jersey Shore, plus a short walk off the boardwalk down Arnold Avenue is a shopper's dream.

Atlantic City Boardwalk Ranked 5th Best In America

America's first boardwalk is also one of its most popular. From the casinos to Steel Pier, there's always something to do on the AC boardwalk.

Ocean City Boardwalk Ranked The 3rd Best In America

Growing up, I would spend summers in Sea Isle City; we had a promenade. Ocean City had a boardwalk. We loved taking a quick drive up 9 to hang out on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Back in the day, it had Gillians Wonderland Pier in addition to Castaway Cove; we'd get Johnson's Popcorn and walk around for hours. It was so much fun.

Wildwood Boardwalk Ranked The Best Boardwalk In America

The beach may be a mile and a half wide, but the boardwalk is the real attraction. I also loved coming here as a kid; you had water parks, three piers, and more mini-golf to choose from it was almost overwhelming. Plus, you've gotta love the iconic watch the tram car that you hear while walking around.
