One of the best parts of living near the Jersey Shore is our easy access to what I think makes the shore so special: our amazing boardwalks.

No matter what town you visit near the shore, there's usually some type of boardwalk that you can stroll down and enjoy some ocean views. Even though I live in Ocean Gate, it has a gorgeous mile-long boardwalk that overlooks Barnegat Bay, offering beautiful views as you take a nice walk.

However, travel experts recently named 3 boardwalks in New Jersey among the best in the country, and I don't disagree with their picks at all!

The boardwalks were selected based on things to do, attractions offered, and places to eat.

1. Asbury Park Boardwalk

According to APP, Asbury Park made the list; that's due to its plethora of shops, bars, and restaurants that overlook the ocean. You can also check out the Silverball Arcade for a classic arcade trip.

Asbury Park, in general, is just a fun place to visit, especially if you're looking for some good live music.

2. Jenkinson's Boardwalk, Point Pleasant, NJ

Of course, Jenkinson's made the list! It's the ideal boardwalk for family fun; they have an aquarium, a small amusement park, tons of games, arcades, and, of course, more funnel cake than you can point a stick at.

3. Seaside Heights Boardwalk

I'm biased, but I think the Seaside Heights boardwalk is one of the best in the state. And according to APP, it's a top 3 boardwalk destination.

You have to check out Casino Pier to get your thrills, then swing by Spicy, Beachcomber, or EJ's for a frosty beverage and a cold drink.
