Rooftop Igloos Return To Asbury Park Biergarten

Usually, the Asbury Park Festhalle & Biergarten doesn't set up their rooftop igloos until December or January once winter really sets in, but this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are setting them up now and the Biergarten will take reservations starting next week. You can give them a call at 732-997-8767 Tuesdays through Thursdays from 11 am - 5 pm to place your reservation

The igloos hold 4-8 of your friends (you won't have to share with strangers) for two hours, and the igloo is heated. In the past, they would give you blankets to borrow if you were cold, but due to COVID, no blankets will be given out. I'm guessing you can bring your own.

A few years back when they first introduced the rooftop igloos, a bunch of my friends and I went, and we had a blast.

We brought some cards and games to play while we ate and drank quite a lot of beer.

The food at the Biergarten is very good too. If you're looking just to "pick", you have to go with the huge pretzel or the potato pancakes. The fish and chips are good, and of course, you have to try the Bratwurst and Kielbasa.

The Biergarten is following all COVID-19 guidelines. According to their website:

Due to COVID19 our Indoor Dining Room is opened at 25% capacity. Our Rooftop Dining will still remain open weather permitting and is strictly following CDC guidelines to ensure your safety, as well as our staff. During this period, our rooftop dining will be open for FULL-SERVICE DINING ONLY. Unfortunately, in order to stay open, we cannot accept reservations for those who just wish to have a couple of drinks. We hope you do understand and come dine with us soon!
