Raw Sewage Closes NJ Beach
Belmar's L Street beach was closed after raw sewage leaked into the water, according to state environmental officials.

The L Street Beach is not on the oceanfront side of Belmar, instead being fed by the Shark River.
Water tested by the DEP showed bacteria levels more than double what is considered safe.
The DEP tests 217 beaches across the Jersey Shore - right now, L Street is the only beach that is closed.
