We are less than twenty-four hours into the 22nd annual Ocean of Love Billboard, and we are full steam ahead.

I have been living on the billboard since 5 p.m yesterday in the Target/Lowes Shopping center on Hooper in Toms River.

Once again the goal this year is $105,700 and raising money for Ocean of Love is more important than ever before.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, any fundraising event that was planned for Ocean of Love since March was canceled.

Theresa Segui, Ocean of Love Director, says they are down about $100,000 from what they normally should have in the bank.

Ocean of Love is a non-profit, charitable 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to helping Ocean County children with cancer and their families. Our purpose is to assist the children through their illness. We provide financial and emotional support so that they can experience the "normal" joys of childhood, knowing their lives are significant and meaningful to each and every one of us.

We have gotten some great donations since we started yesterday at 5p. Big thanks to Back and Neck Center of Brick Total Body Wellness Center for their $3000 donation, East Dover Marina donated $250, the Ocean County Sheriff's Office donated  $1000, and of course we can't forget about the little girl Fiona who donated $9 bucks from her piggy bank.

The fundraiser continues through Thursday night, and we need to hit our goal of $105,700.
