In 2024 alone, New Jersey's population grew to an all-time record high, I asked a co-worker of mine how many people he thought lived in the Garden State and he said 500,000.
More than 500,000 people live in Ocean County, alone, so Jersey's population has to be way above that.
In fact, Jersey's total population has grown to a staggering 9.5 Million people in 2024!
Where Are All Of NJ's New Residents Coming From?
This is an interesting question because you have people like my wife and I who have moved to Jersey from another state, but have bought a house and now call Jersey home.
Of course a part of that 9.5 Million are people who were born and raised in the Garden State and decided to expand their families over the years which caused our population to skyrocket as well.
Another factor is immigration, according to APP, Jersey has a large vibrant immigrant community which has only boosted the state's economy as well as our local businesses.
What's really interesting to see is that according to Governor Phil Murphy, there are more moving vans coming to Jersey than there are leaving, so here's where everyone's coming from.
