So have you heard the saga of Ziggy The Fox?

This may be one of the wildest stories I've heard come out of the Jersey Shore in a while.

If you're not totally familiar, during the weekend of January 18th a fox was spotted stranded on the Barnegat Bay on a sheet of ice.

The poor fox was stranded out there for hours and hours throughout the day.

The Fox's name is Ziggy, and he was part of a group of Fox that lived in the Seaside Park area near the bay and were cared for by a few people on the island from what I understand.

Well, after the Fox was seen stranded on a sheet of ice in the bay, the pictures took social media by storm, like this one from animal activist John Debacker.

Rescue teams were organized to try and reach the fox but due to the cold temperatures and strong currents in the bay, efforts were fruitless.

At some point on Sunday, January 19th, it seemed as though Ziggy the Fox had vanished from sight, and people, myself included, thought that the worst had happened.

Fast forward to today.

If you didn't believe in miracles before you may now since we learned that Ziggy the Fox, against all odds was found safe and sound albeit very cold, thanks to some photos shared by Jim Merdoch.

Ziggy is malnourished, but vets are currently giving him antibiotics and treatment that will eventually get him back up to strength, and put on a few pounds.

It really is great to see a story like this have a happy ending.
