NJ Police Car Collides With NJ Transit Train

Yesterday morning, a police vehicle was apparently stopped on the tracks at the Brighton Avenue crossing in Long Branch when the train struck it.

I haven't been able to find video of the moment of impact, but here's some of the aftermath of the collision between a Long Branch PD SUV and a NJ Transit train.

This is why you obey the train crossing signal! Luckily no one was was injured, but it'll be interesting to see what the investigation turns up as to why the officer's car was stuck on the tracks.
