New Jersey Stores That Do This For Thanksgiving Are The Absolute Best
In just about four weeks, it'll be Thanksgiving!
It's crazy to think about right?
But this is just the time of year that flies by in the blink of an eye.
I love Thanksgiving; watching the parades in the morning, cooking all day and of course, getting to spend a long weekend with the family is awesome.
My favorite part though is the day after, Black Friday, and not even for the deals.
Every year since I was in middle school, my dad and I wake up at 3:30 in the morning on Black Friday.
We don't shop, we just people-watch until his favorite breakfast spot opens.
I have no issue with people going out to shop on Black Friday, it's a fun tradition and a great way to get some deals but what I hate is when stores are open on Thanksgiving.
My wife works in retail, and she's really good at what she does.
Because of that, she used to have to work every Thanksgiving starting at 9 or 10 PM and I always hated that.
Why should she have to leave her family on one of the biggest holidays of the year?
Fortunately, a few years ago she started working with a retail company that acknowledges their employees have families and would probably like Thanksgiving off to be with them.
In my eyes, any retailer that closes on Thanksgiving is worth supporting, and it seems as though the trend of stores being open on Thanksgiving is starting to fade.
