Beloved Bayville Coffee Shop Rooted Is Closing After Years of Serving the Community

Well, this is some upsetting news. Have you ever had a local business that you love announce that they're closing up shop? I've had it happen a few times since moving to Jersey; places like Smokies Craft BBQ closed in Downtown Toms River.

Now, one of my go-to spots for cold brew and fun lattes is getting ready to close its doors, and it's got me all worked up.

Rooted Coffee In Bayville, NJ, Announced It's Closing

If you're not familiar with Rooted Coffee in Bayville, you'll want to check them out sooner rather than later, because the small coffee shop has announced that it'll be closing its doors for good.

Rooted Coffee Was More Than Just A Local Coffee Shop

Located right off Route 9, in the same shopping plaza as Miss Mindy's, what I loved about Rooted is that it was not only a coffee shop, but a little community center.

The coffee shop featured a small gym where spin classes and other fitness classes were held. They also did fun things for holidays like Father's Day and Mother's Day, and it was just a great local spot to support when you needed a coffee fix.

Rooted Announced It's Closing Via Social Media

Sadly, Rooted announced via social media that the coffee shop will be closing.

This came as an absolute shock to me; every time I'm there, they've got a nice line of people, and I just assumed Rooted would be around forever.

When Will Rooted Coffee Close In Bayville, NJ?

Rooted's last day in business will be on October 24th, and although there was no reason given for the closure, there has been an outpouring of support from the local community.
