Monmouth University Student Gets Graduation Surprise
Yesterday was the commencement ceremony for the Monmouth University Class of 2018. As a proud alum of the school, I always like to see the pictures and read stories about the recent graduating class. This year's ceremony at the PNC Bank Arts Center was made extra-special by a surprise attendee.
Dana Gurnari of Tuckerton walked across the stage to receive her diploma, knowing that while most of her family was in the crowd, her brother was unable to attend because he was stationed with the Marines in North Carolina.
However, after shaking hands with the school's President, Dean, and other dignitaries, she was shocked to see her brother waiting to congratulate her.
The Asbury Park Press has a great picture of the moment.
Congrats to all the Monmouth Hawks!
