This has been a tough year for many people due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and things are not going to be easy around the holidays for people who haven't been able to work, or who got laid off.

Once again the United States Marines are holding their annual "Toys For Tots" toy drive where they collect hundreds of thousands of toys for families in need.

Last year in 2019, Toys for Tots, distributed over fifty thousand toys in Ocean County alone.

This year, due to COVID-19, it might be a little harder to find drop off locations to make a donation, so the Marines have set up a Toys for Tots "Virtual Toybox" which is actually pretty cool

It is pretty simple. On the site, you "click" an age bracket you are shopping for, and then a bunch of toys will be displayed for you to choose to donate. Toys range in price starting at $9.99 and go as high as $79.99. It's a great selection of toys for boys and girls.

Locally, our friends at Farro's Tees located at 873 Fischer Boulevard in Toms River are collecting toys for the Marines this year. You can drop off an unwrapped toy at their store by December 11th during normal business hours
