Tim Tebow held a private tryout for any MLB team that was interested, and it appears the Mets have signed the former quarterback to a minor league contract.

It's been a debate on the Free Beer & Hot Wings Show about whether Tim Tebow would ever get a Major League at-bat. The Mets are 8.5 games back in the division, but are tied for the Wild Card with 22 games left. They can't afford to play a guy just for the sake of a stunt or ticket sales, which means Tebow shouldn't make an appearance in the last few weeks of the season.

I'm actually interested to see how this turns out.
