Don’t Buy A New Cat In NJ, Instead Visit LIDA And Save A Life
You may be feeling the urge to find a new furry friend to add to your home; maybe you want a new puppy or kitten to love and nurture and call your own.
But before you go gung-ho into finding any puppy or kitten for sale on the web or at a store, maybe take a minute and think about adopting instead.

In Ocean County alone, there are plenty of places you can adopt from; All Fur One, the SPCA, and even Pet Supplies Plus have adoptions that you can go to and try to find a new friend for your family.
But there's a little place hidden in the heart of Downtown Toms River that you're going to want to check out, especially if you're looking to bring home a new cat.
Visit, Play With, And Adopt Cats At LIDA In Downtown Toms River, NJ
LIDA is a small shelter located on Main Street in Toms River, and it's a cat playroom where you can swing by, play with all of the cats and sometimes kittens that they have there and if you really fall in love with one, you can adopt from LIDA as well.
This is what happened with my wife and I.
We stopped in just to play with some cats and ended up falling in love with an outgoing cat we eventually adopted and named Beignet.
The adoption process with LIDA was incredibly easy, and Isabelle and her team of volunteers make sure that all of these cats are going to good homes.
The price for adoption is $125, and your new cat will be microchipped, spayed/neutered, and given a clean bill of health before you take them home.
Our little Beignet is slowly becoming more comfortable in her new home and has found a new favorite hiding place among our books.
If you'd like to visit LIDA for yourself, they're open Fridays from 6 PM to 8 PM, as well as Saturday and Sunday between 1 PM and 4 PM.
During those hours you can go in and visit all the cats, play with them, and decide whether or not they'd be a good fit for your home.
LIDA is located at 34 Main Street, Unit 1B In Toms River.
