Hundreds Vs Dozens – The BlueClaws Pride Protest
The protest by the religious community of Lakewood against the BlueClaws Pride Night took place last night.
A lot of the buzz online (including our Facebook page) urged a counter-protest, and according to Patch, the numbers skewed heavily in favor of that group. About 50 protesters, mostly Orthodox Jews along with some Catholics, were outnumbered by nearly 200 Pride supporters.
Lakewood Police were a strong presence, and thankfully protestors on both sides remained civil, and the incident took place without any violence.
