Help Toms River ‘Save The Arts’
Over $5,000,000 in losses from the state of NJ are expected to hit the Toms River School district as early as the 2020-2021 school year, and extracurricular activities including music, theatre, the visual arts, sports and clubs are on the chopping block.
Students, faculty and alumni of the Toms River Schools created a "Save the Arts" video to ask for one more year of funding from the NJ Department of Education. They performed "Seasons of Love" from the Broadway musical Rent.
Toms River Arts asks everyone to send this video to Governor Murphy, the NJ Department of Education, and others who might be able to help save the funding crisis hitting the Toms River Schools.
