Sadly, Perkins is becoming harder and harder to find.

Perkins Has Shuttered Stores Across The Country

The once massive breakfast chain is now down to just two locations in New Jersey.

On top of that, the very last Perkins in Ocean County closed its doors last October in Forked River.

That Perkins is getting converted into an IHOP.

However, despite the odds, it looks like Perkins is getting ready to make a grand comeback at the Jersey Shore as we see a new twist on the iconic breakfast chain.

Perkins Griddle And Go Is Planning A New Jersey Takeover

If you're not familiar, Perkins Griddle and Go, the idea is that you'll be able to get the breakfast food and iconic sandwiches you loved from Perkins, but in a more fast-casual environment.

You'll order at a kiosk, the menu will be up on boards, and the restaurants will be a little smaller, seating about 65 people.

Think of it like Panera, except instead of soup and salads, it's bacon and eggs.

Originally a Canadian chain, the franchises in New Jersey are coming about thanks to a mother-son business duo.

Perkins Griddle And Go Is Planning To Take Over Ocean And Monmouth Counties

Perkins Griddle And Go already has plans to open its first location in Ocean Township by October of 2025.

But the company is already looking to make big moves in the Garden State with an estimated 10 stores in the works for Monmouth County in the coming years, plus an additional 6 restaurants in Ocean County, according to Shore News Network.
