The Last Perkins In Ocean County, NJ Is Being Replaced With A New Breakfast Spot
Do you remember the Perkins in Lacey?
It was the one right off Main Street in Forked River and for a while it was the very last remaining Perkins in Ocean County that remained opened.
Then, on October 2nd of this year, the Perkins closed up shop for good.
There's still one remaining Perkins in the Garden State, it's located in Hazlet and it's still going strong.
But now that the Perkins in Lacey is closed, it does beg the question of what should open there next.
For years, Ocean County has always wanted a Cracker Barrel or a Texas Roadhouse to open up because who doesn't love honey cinnamon butter on a hot roll?
Sadly, you'll have to keep holding your breathe if you were hoping either of those places were opening in Forked River in the old Perkins, however, what is moving in will keep the breakfast tradition of the building going.
