If you have eaten at a restaurant on Long Beach Island this summer, you may have had a close encounter with a celebrity - and not even known it.

With season four of the Netflix hit "Stranger Things" being put on hiatus due to the pandemic, Gaten Matarazzo has come back home to New Jersey and, according to the Hollywood Reporter, apparently picked up a summer job as a food runner at a Long Beach Island eatery. Despite the mask requirements, fans have been able to identify Dusty Bun.

Matarazzo grew up in Little Egg Harbor, and went to Pinelands Regional High School in Tuckerton. His band, Work In Progress, has played a few clubs in the area, and I even caught their set during last year's Sea Hear Now festival in Asbury Park (with an amazing guest appearance by Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready). With concert venues, from large to small, being closed too, Gaten's side gig has been shut down as well.

The Hollywood Reporter did not mention what restaurant Gaten is working at, only that he's working with some family members. Obviously if the secret gets out, that restaurant would be swarmed with fans, so if you happen to go out to eat on Long Beach Island over the next few weeks and the bus boy looks familiar, don't make a big deal out of it, don't blow up his spot. Just give him a nod, and maybe hum "Neverending Story" on your way out.
