Keep calm! Don’t Fight in the Middle of the Airport, Please, Like These Two in Newark, NJ
It was a terrifying moment, to say the least.
Everyone knows traveling is stressful; it can bring out the worst in people, especially given recent world events. But there's no reason why stress should escalate people to this level.
As I've mentioned in the past, I'm a frequent traveler. And I'll admit, there are some mornings when I'm not in the greatest mood when I get to the airport. But I can confidently say that physically attacking someone has never crossed my mind.
In fact, I try to remember that chances are, the person behind the counter is exhausted too, and a little kindness goes a long way.
Sadly, per TMZ, a situation broke out earlier in Newark Airport where someone let stress get the better of them.
It's unclear what led to this all-out brawl in the middle of United's ticketing area, but I'm willing to bet that it didn't warrant this kind of violence.
I can't imagine what it was like to be in the room when this explosion went down. The surrounding passengers had to think quickly and get out of the way. Not only were the two fighters putting each other in danger with their selfish actions, but they were also endangering the people around them.
We can do better than this.
According to TMZ, the passenger in this situation, a former NFL player named Brendan Langely was arrested for simple assault. The employee was not arrested.
The footage you're about to watch is disturbing. Be warned that it does contain violence and blood.
