
Driver of Jeep Liberty critical after being ejected from vehicle in Lakehurst
The driver of a Jeep Liberty is in critical condition at Jersey Shore University Medical Center after being thrown from his vehicle in a two-car crash in Lakehurst on Thursday.

Lakehurst Police said that life saving measures were performed on the driver of the Jeep who was then medevacked to the hospital.
Officers responded around 12:55 pm on Thursday to the intersection of Route 70 and Route 547 for a motor vehicle crash and once on scene saw the Jeep had extensive damage and was resting in the middle of the westbound lane of Route 70.
A BMW also had extensive damage at the crash site and police said it was resting off the roadway near the entrance of the Gulf Gas Station.
The passenger of the BMW sustained a head injury and was medivacked to Jersey Shore Medical Center and later released.
The Driver of the BMW suffered minor injuries and was transported to Monmouth Medical Center in Lakewood and later released.
This investigation into the car accident is ongoing.
