28-year old driver dies after striking trees off Jackson Mills Road
Jackson Township Police have announced that an investigation continues into a single-car crash that claimed the life of a 28-year old on Saturday evening.
Officers received a call shortly after 6:00 pm on Saturday and went to the area along Jackson Mills Road that crosses near the I-195 overpass and Harmony Road and saw a vehicle that had drive off road and went into the woods.
Through their on-scene investigation, Jackson Police learned that the driver of the 2009 Ford Ranger was heading east on Jackson Mills Road when he suddenly struck a guardrail and then went off the road and into the woods where his vehicle crashed into several trees.
As a result of the collision, police said that the driver, "was unrestrained and was partially ejected from the vehicle during the crash."
He was airlifted to the hospital for treatment but police learned the next morning that the driver had passed away.
