Delicious Blueberry Picking in Beautiful Burlington County New Jersey

It is no surprise to us who live here in New Jersey why they call us the “Garden State” because we truely have the best fruits and vegetables in America. Ok I am a little biased but its true just visit a local farm and see for yourself.

If you are looking for a great day trip that is fresh air, sunshine, exercise, and healthy food then “fruit picking” is an outing you should definitely keep in mind. Recently I did an article about raspberry picking in Monmouth County, this time around its blueberry picking in Burlington County.

Hammonton New Jersey is known for great blueberries and we always enjoy a trip to DiMeo Farm. They have a nice farm and we enjoy the classical music playing as you pick, very relaxing.

Keep in mind blueberry season is a hot time of year. You need water, hats, and sunscreen when going out. It is always a good day for exercise picking and we love it. Lots of families out picking and the little ones will sleep well after some running around the fields lol

Take a few moments to run through my pics from our recent trip. There are many great places to pick blueberries in Ocean, Burlington, and Monmouth counties.

Lots of blueberry jam, ice cream, pie, etc. not to mention just fresh berries to toss in oatmeal, salads, and even drinks. Great antioxidants with blueberries, so very good for you. Enjoy the season and if you “can” you’ll be enjoying Jersey blueberries all year long. I love blueberry jam on toast in the winter!
