As you drive down Princeton Avenue in Brick, you'll notice the line of light poles at the entrance to Windward Beach Park.

This weekend, Brick Township unveiled new flags that will fly from those poles, honoring residents from Brick who gave their lives in military combat zones.

The flags actually go all the way back to the Civil War, and will also include a plaque at the base of each pole telling the soldier's story.
