If you're ready to leave winter and spring behind and fling yourself into summer you may have to wait a few more weeks.

But that doesn't mean you can't get prepared sooner than later!

To me, there are a few key signs that summer is fast approaching, especially living this close to the Jersey Shore.

For starters seeing all of the boardwalk shops open up on the weekends.

Also, every day we're seeing more and more summer events being announced.

For example, Lavallette has announced its movies on the bay schedule for summer 2023 already

In addition, Brick released the lineup for this year's Brick Summerfest!

The biggest telltale sign that summer is on the way is that our days are getting longer and the temperatures are slowly starting to warm up.

Another pretty big sign that summer is fastly approaching the Jersey Shore is that towns are getting ready to start selling beach tags for the summer season.

One town has already begun selling beach tags, and to be honest the prices are pretty solid in my opinion.

According to the Brick Patch, Brick Beach is currently selling beach passes for the 2023 season.

You can buy your passes at the Brick recreation office, 270 Chambers Bridge Road, until June 9th.

Once the season is in full swing, you can buy tags at beaches 1 and 3 as well, according to Patch.

Beach tags aren't too pricey, in my opinion, especially if you plan on going to the beach pretty often!

Patch reports that a regular season pass will cost you 30 dollars if you get them before May 15th.

After May 15th the price increases to 45 dollars.

Compared to the 60 dollars I paid last year in Seaside Heights, those prices are a steal!

Also, if you're a senior 65 and over, or a veteran you're able to get a free daily wristband to visit the beach.
