Christ Church is an Episcopal Church and has great history in the community. According to their website the parish was founded in 1702. Earlier versions of the church were constructed in the area of Broad Street and Sycamore Avenue in Shrewsbury.

The current church in Shrewsbury was built in 1769, making the church 252 years old. Christ Church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. When I passed the church the fantastic clock tower caught my eye, what a great part of this historic landmark. The clock tower was built in the mid 18th century with a new bell installed in 1825.
