Have you watched the Live Osprey Cam from Island Beach State Park lately? A number of viewers were concerned when they noticed some debris in the nest that was causing distress to the chicks.

Ben Wurst, the habitat program manager at the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey, was able to climb the pole where the nest sits and remove a plastic bag. Wurst said "the little guy now has a much better chance of surviving to adulthood" and that the chicks would be banded in about a month to help future tracking.
