Are Apartments The Answer Here at the Jersey Shore?

If you take a ride around the Jersey Shore there is a good chance you will see an apartment or condo complex at some point. These housing complexes appear to be popping up everywhere. If there is a dead strip mall in the neighborhood there’s a good chance you might see an apartment complex pop up out of the ruins. The question is, is this the best way to develop these lands?
Some of the locations appear listed as “luxury” and some as “affordable”. Regardless, I believe the main goal is to keep these complexes looking good and well maintained. Nothing could be worse than if these huge complexes become run down and not inviting. When new, they look fantastic and they make for scenic land development.
I don’t think this idea is for everyone. Open space replaced by housing is not popular with everyone. The question is obviously these locations can’t remain undeveloped, just not economically feasible, so are these units the answer here at the Jersey Shore. Personally, the dead strip malls are an eyesore, anything would be an improvement over empty stores sitting and falling apart.
So let’s hope these complexes stay as impressive as when first built and provide much-needed housing here at the Jersey Shore. Pride in our communities is a key to keeping the Shore a great place to live.....each one of us is responsible for being the best neighbor we can be.
