Wow! Still Dark at this Former 7-11 on Route 37 in Toms River, New Jersey
I was recently driving through Toms River on Oak Ridge Parkway when I noticed once again that the old 7-11 that I used to visit when I was a kid is still dark with no activity and I gotta wonder what will be the future for this busy location along Route 37 in Toms River?

This is such a busy well-traveled roadway you would think some business would love to call this home, just like the former tenant the "7-11". I have mentioned before that growing up on Chestnut Hill Drive we would walk over to the 7-11 and visit for our "Bazooka Joe", "Slurpees", and "Wacky Packages" that we would collect. If it was baseball season we would go for our baseball cards as well and then sit outside with our Slurpees and "flip" cards. Some days I'd walk away with some good players and some days I'd lose my pack lol
Great memories and I always enjoyed the walk over to the 7-11. Sad to see it sit dark and it's been dark for quite some time. What do you think would make a good fit for this location? If you live in that neighborhood, what would you like to see there? What do you need in that area?
If you have some suggestions let us know what you think would be good for this location, post your thoughts below, we always enjoy getting your feedback here in Ocean County. Maybe someone will see your recommendations and take action, you never know. Maybe you know why it's been dark for so long? Maybe you know of a plan already in the works?
