A Giant Schnauzer From New Jersey Just Won Best In Show At The Westminster Dog Show

There's something about the relationship between people and dogs that just makes us happy.

There's a bond there that you may not get someplace else; and of course, everyone thinks their dog is a good dog, but is your dog the best in show?

There's one dog from New Jersey that was crowned this years ultimate good boy, and he is one massive puppy.

A Dog From New Jersey Was Crowned Best In Show At The 2025 Westminster Dog Show

I've always been a fan of the Purina Dog Show that airs around Thanksgiving, but just North of us in New York City you'll find the annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

The Westminster Dog Show has been hosted at Madison Square Garden since the mid-1800s and continues to this day.

And this year Monty, a giant Schnauzer from Ocean City New Jersey took home the award for best in show.

This isn't Monty's first time in the winner circle either, the Jersey dog and his handler Katie Bernardin have won best in show since 2023 making this win Monty's big three-peat, according to APP.

What's The Grand Prize For Best In Show At The Westminster Dog Show?

I'd imagine the dog gets some extra pets and a big ole bone, but there's no cash prize or anything like that for winning Best in Show.

A trophy and ribbon are given to the dog's handler, and of course, that dog can hold onto some bragging rights for the next year.
