Once again it's time for the Toms River Police Department to put down their ticket books and put on the aprons for the 25th annual Vest-a-Cop. It happens Monday at the Pizza Hut on Rt. 37 in Toms River from 4-9pm

Toms River's police officers will be waiters and waitresses for the night to raise money for the "Bullet Proof Vest Fund".

The fund will continue to vest the police officers and keep them safe while upholding their responsibilities to protect life and property.

There will also be plenty of activities for the kids: face painting, dunk tank, bounce house, DJ Mike West, and much more. Ocean County Sheriff's Department will also be on hand to create the children fingerprint identification cards.

Toms River Police Chief Mitch Little and Jillian Messina came into the studio for a little bit to talk about Monday's fundraiser
