The annual Vest-a-Cop fundraiser where the Toms River Police Department puts on the aprons to become servers at Pizza Hut to raise money for bullet proof vests is happening at the Pizza Hut on Rt. 37 in Toms River right now from 4-9pm.

Toms River’s police officers will be waiters and waitresses for the night to raise money for the “Bullet Proof Vest Fund”.

When the police officers are not on patrol, they sacrifice so much of their free time to do SO MUCH for the communiy. They support the Special Olympics, sick kids in our community, our Veterans, and plenty of other events throughout the year.  Let's help THEM out this time!

The Toms River Police Department is asking for our help, and I know things are tense between police and the public right now, but the reality is….No matter how you might feel about them, positive or negative, they will continue to protect you AND be there for you no matter what. That is just the reality. So we’re asking you to donate a few bucks to make their job just a little bit easier.

The fund will continue to vest the police officers and keep them safe while upholding their responsibilities to protect life and property.

There will also be plenty of activities for the kids: face painting, dunk tank, bounce house, and much more.
