Toms River Police Play Hockey For A Great Cause
Brett Hansen, a Toms River Police Officer since August 2015, was severely injured in an off-duty car accident on the Garden State Parkway on January 4th. Hansen lost his left eye, and doctors are unsure how much vision he will keep in his right eye. His family created a GoFundme campaign to raise funds to cover medical bills that exceed his insurance.
About a month ago, the NJ State PBA hockey team took on the NJ State Police hockey team, and the skates are being laced up again for another fundraiser.
