Benefit Hockey Game Will Aid Injured Toms River Police Officer
A benefit hockey game to raise money for Toms River Police Officer Brett Hansen will happen this Saturday.
The game will be a matchup between members of the New Jersey State PBA against New Jersey State Police. Tickets are $10 at the door, and the puck drops at 8pm.
Brett Hansen, a Toms River Police Officer since August 2015, was severely injured in an off-duty car accident on the Garden State Parkway on January 4th. Hansen lost his left eye, and doctors are unsure how much vision he will keep in his right eye. His family created a GoFundme campaign to raise funds to cover medical bills that exceed his insurance.
