Toms River Police investigating string of car burglaries

Toms River Police are investigating a slew of overnight car burglaries in the North Dover section of the township primarily along the North Maple Avenue and Hickory Street area.

Investigators say most of the loot was take from unlocked cars.

A 2018 Nissan Pathfinder, in one case, was stolen right from the driveway.

They're urging you to lock your car doors.

"We have multiple reports of vehicles being entered overnight in the North Dover section of the township," Toms River Police said on Facebook. "PLEASE LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS."
