Coming up in May, the Toms River Police Foundation is holding a fundraiser campaign, called "Round Up", where after you order a burger, a drink or a meal, you may be asked to 'round up' your total order to $18, 30, 45, etc. with 10 cents, 25, 50 going onto the bill with that small amount adding up at that business and then going to the TRPF.

It's just a little amount that can help out big time.

You don't drop off donations at one of these businesses or restaurants, just pitch in a little extra if you can on your order and round up.

This campaign runs from May 1 until May 31 and at that time each business involved will submit their what they collected/donations to the Toms River Police Foundation.

So far, Spirits Unlimited, Burger 25, Capone's Pizza and Pasta and the Four Seasons Diner have all hopped on board and are places where you'll be able to "round up" your order and help out the Toms River Police Foundation.

The TRPF is looking for additional businesses to help out with this campaign as well.

If you have any questions about the campaign, or are a business who can help out the TRPF, contact Jillian Messina at trpf@trpolice.org.

The Toms River Police Foundation is a 501-C3 non-profit that uses donations to help the police department on various projects, getting equipment and putting together projects and events for the community, according to their mission statement, and they also award scholarships to all four of the high schools in Toms River and to students seeking a career in law enforcement and to children of TRPD members.

"We have the greatest community and the greatest support from them and this is a way for us to give back," Messina tells Townsquare Media News.
