Todd Frazier Signs With Texas Rangers
After two years in Queens, the Mets let Todd Frazier go into Free Agency. With 39 days til Spring Training, Frazier has signed a contract with the Texas Rangers.
According to ESPN, the deal is one-year, $5 million, with a team option for 2021 that would pay Frazier $4.25million next year.
The Rangers started six different players at third base last year, after future Hall-of-Famer Adrian Beltre retired following the 2018 season. Texas was believed to be a front-runner in the pursuit of Anthony Rendon, but the Texas native ended up signing with the Angels. If Frazier can remain healthy, he should provide some stability for the Rangers.
