Kevin Williams of the Shore Sports Network broke the news via Facebook:

The pride of Toms River Little League made a big splash when he was traded to the Yankees last July. Frazier was granted Free Agency in November. Outside of a few big trades (STANTON!), the Hot Stove was rather lukewarm, with a lot of big-name free agents still waiting for contracts.

As a Yankee fan, I'm a bit a disappointed. Frazier was near the top of the class of free agent third basemen; however, the team does have a solid farm system so they could either pull someone up from the minors or make another trade.

It'll be interesting to see if the "thumbs down" makes the trip across to the NL, since the fan who started the trend is a supporter of the Mets.
