How about just seven miles off of Atlantic City. Seven Miles!!!That was around 6a this morning. I would think that is a little too close for comfort especially when Great White Sharks can swim approximately 35 mph. Her latest "ping" at 2:30p, had her a little further North and East 5:54a 2:30p

Mary Lee, the 3,400 lb Great White Shark appears to be heading north towards New Jersey according to a recent "ping" on OCEARCH.org.

On the East Coast, shark populations are on the rebound as a result of effective fishing management measures.

There has been plenty of shark talk in New Jersey for the past few months, but now we're talking alligators in New Jersey. One day after a partially devoured dolphin washed ashore in South Jersey, we're finding out that an apparent dolphin tail washed up nearby as well.

Sharks attacking dolphins, or at least trying to, probably happens quite a bit and we never even know about it. Nonetheless, a visitor to one South Jersey beach over the weekend snapped a picture which might indicate sharks are getting extra hungry.

Mary Lee, the great white shark who was tracked just off the coast of Ocean County almost two weeks ago made plenty of headlines and turned everyone into a marine biologist for a weekend.  Mary Lee has since headed south (at least for the time being) and is out of the public conscience, but that doesn't mean that there aren't plenty of other sharks in and around the area.

Her name is Mary Lee, and she is 3,456 pounds to be exact! She was originally tagged in Cape May back in 2012. Well Mary Lee is back!! The great white's tracker was recorded around 8am this morning 10 miles off of Wildwood. Then at 1:04 p.m., Mary Lee pinged again about 12 miles off the coast a little further north, right on the border of Avalon and Sea Isle City. Capt John Stevenson of the North Wildwood Police Department says
