SUEZ and its contractor, J. F. Kiely are on site of a water main break this morning at 340 West Water Street, near the Toms River MUA which officials says will affect commercial customers in the area by a temporary interruption of water service today.

Crews are on site now and it could take up to 4 hours for them to repair the break.

The northbound exit to Toms River onto Water Street, in the interim, has been closed due to the event and traffic is being temporarily diverted.

Following the repair and if customers notice either cloudy or slightly discolored water, SUEZ recommends to run a cold tap for about 10 minutes or until it runs clear.

"SUEZ thanks those affected for their understanding and patience as crews work safely and quickly to repair the leak," Jane Kunka, SUEZ Public Affairs Manager said.
