South Jersey Holiday Light Show Will Brighten Your Holidays
The Bridgeport Motorsports Park in Logan Township in Gloucester County is holding a safe, family-friendly holiday light show to brighten your season!
It's a bit of a road trip from us here in Ocean County, but to be honest, I'm looking for holiday spirit anywhere I can find it this year.
Starting November 19th, you'll be able to pack up your family and friends and take a trip through a huge drive-through light show. Tickets are $23 per car, and you "must not surpass legal seating limit", so leave the sports car at home and cram all the kids into a minivan to get the most for your buck.
According to NJ.com, the light show will feature displays up to 50 feet long and three stories tall depicting Santa passing out presents, candle and poinsettia arrangements, snowflakes and other holiday scenes, some of them with moving parts. There will even be synchronized music that you can listen to through your car radio.
The holidays are obviously going to be different this year, with Santa maintaining social distance and other pandemic restrictions. A drive-through is pretty much the safest thing you can do right now.
I've done the big holiday lights show at the PNC Bank Arts Center a bunch of times (I actually worked there for a season), and my daughter LOVED it last year. Now that Baby Varacchi 2.0 is here, we're looking for anything we can do to give her a good first Christmas. The more lights, the more Christmas cheer, and the more holiday spirit, the better!
