Some Of The Country’s Best Falafel Is In New Jersey
If you had asked me two years ago, I wouldn't have been able to name a "favorite falafel place", and I probably wouldn't have known exactly what falafel was.
Since a visit to the Hawk by The Falafel Brothers, my life was made slightly more complete when I found a piece I didn't even know was missing.
Am I exaggerating? Only slightly! The Falafel Brothers make some delicious food, and I was seriously worrying that they weren't going to re-open after the pandemic. We've seen countless small, family-owned businesses announce permanent closures, but I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that The Falafel Bros were back.
If you think I'm over-stating how great their food is, you don't just have to take my word for it - Yelp celebrated "International Falafel Day" on June 8th by listing their 25 Best Falafel Restaurants in the United States. The Falafel Bros landed at #13 on that list!
The worst part of moving from Lakewood to Barnegat has been being so far from what had become a favorite eatery for my wife and I. As soon as I showed her that they were re-opening, we were already making plans to drive up to Brick to get some shawarma and kafta and falafel. My personal faves are the D-Man and the Diesel Brothers - give 'em a try!
