With Governor Murphy making the announcement yesterday that amusement and water parks can open on Thursday, July 2nd, Six Flags has announced that they will be opening up their rides on Friday, July 3rd, and Saturday, July 4th.

On Friday, July 3rd, Great Adventure is having a "Preview Day" and will be open to members and season pass holders

Reservations are required this season to attend Great Adventure to maintain social distancing the best they can. As of this writing, the link for making reservations is not active, but the website says, "Reservations will be online soon. Please check our social media channels for details"

There are new systems and regulations in place to keep their employees and guests. According to Six Flags:

Our reopening plan, which was developed in consultation with epidemiologists, meets or exceeds federal, state, and local guidelines for sanitization, hygiene, and social distancing protocols.

  • Health Screenings for Guests and Team Members
  • Strictly Enforced Social Distancing
  • Extensive Sanitization and Disinfecting Protocols
  • Sanitized Food Preparation and Service
  • Commercial-Grade Cleaning Equipment and Supplies
  • Multi-Layered Guest and Team Member Communication
  • Park Reservations System to Manage Attendance

Six Flags is also hiring for the 2020 season. They are looking for lifeguards, games and retail positions, food, ride operators, security, and more.
