Here’s How To See New Jerseys Amazing Fall Foliage By Train
Fall means a few things; cooler weather, flannel shirts, and a ton of fall activities!
This will be my first Fall in New Jersey, and I've got high hopes that it'll be a good one, especially with all of the great events that are popping up!
Now, you may know that I'm a pretty big train enthusiast; model railroads, going to train yards, or just train watching at stations, there's just something so awesome about those majestic machines.
What I think is really cool, are the opportunities for great train rides right here in New Jersey.
And sometimes, those train rides take you through some pretty amazing scenery!
According to Only In Your State, there's a fantastic train ride that will take you through 14 train stations and show you all of the fantastic fall foliage that Jersey has to offer!
The best part is that it's only a short drive from Ocean County and makes the perfect day trip.
Get ready for adventure on the Black River & Western Railroad!
In the Fall, this railroad will take you on a relaxing train ride out to do some pumpkin picking, as well as partake in some other great activities.
The Pumpkin Train Tour will last you about two and a half hours, and a full day of fun is pretty affordable; twenty-one dollars for adults and fifteen for kids!
The Black River and Western Railroad departs from Frenchtown New Jersey, and if fall foliage isn't your thing, they have a bunch of other great seasonal rides.
According to their website, they also do Santa-themed train rides as well as a North Pole Express ride.
Both rides take you to "Polar Express Station" and includes photo ops with Mr. and Mrs. Clause, but the North Pole Express ride includes snacks!
So, if you're looking for something fun and different to do with the family, or if you're just a fellow train enthusiast such as myself, I'll see you at the train crossing!
