Hey New Jersey, Get Ready For An Exciting New Bar Coming To Seaside Heights
So you remember Jax Garage in Seaside Heights, don't you?
It was a fun hole-in-the-wall bar that used to be a mechanic's shop before it started serving up beers and apps.
Granted it could get pretty rowdy there, but it was still a pretty well-known local watering hole.
That was until the summer of 2022 when Jax Garage lost its liquor license after failing to comply with a long list of conditions imposed by Seaside Heights Council, according to Shorebeat.
For the past year and a half or so, Jax Garage has sat primarily unoccupied with nothing appearing to be going on.
However, over the weekend my wife and I were taking our usual coffee walk from our apartment in Seaside down to the bay to watch some boats and enjoy an easy Sunday morning.
On our way to the water, I was shocked when I saw Jax Garage had some signs in the window advertising something new was soon on the way.
What could possibly be getting ready to open up?
Now I'll be honest, there's not a whole lot of information on what's going to be opening up here, or when it's going to be opening but here's what I can guess based on the above photo.
The new spot is going to be called the Seaside Social House and looks like it'll be a very different spot than its predecessor, Jax Garage.
It appears as though this place is going to specialize in nice cocktails, pizza, and sports.
What else could you want?
If you have any ideas on an opening date, or any more info let me know at douglas.buehler@townsquaremedia.com.
It is nice to see some life getting breathed back into this iconic Seaside Heights location.
